PLAYING FIELD INFO
CASTLE BLUE’S CREW
CASTLE BLUE’S CREW is the second LARGEST, NASTIEST CASTLE that exists in paintball right behind CASTLE AAARRGH. With over 22,000 square feet of playing area within its walls, CASTLE ECLIPSE sports two full stories of playing throughout 8’ to 16’ deep ramparts completely encircling a courtyard of buildings, towers, and barricades. The corridors below the ramparts are full of staggered walls, windows, and doorways leading into the courtyard. With only 4 openings from the outside into the courtyard and two gang ramps from the Siege Machines onto the upper ramparts, this Castle is a FIGHT TO ENTER from Game On.
CASTLE BLUE’S CREW SURROUNDING
Facing the Castle Front Wall (Considered WALL 1) is a wooded area full of bunkers and only 200’ from the front door is CITY OF CREW, a large town with numerous buildings surrounded by numerous barricades and bunkers on all 4 sides and a HYPER BALL Field at the far end. To the right of the Castle is WALL 2 which faces CASTLE NUMBSKULL with woods, stone fences, and barricades throughout. The back wall (WALL 3) is faced with trees & bunkers throughout EGO VILLAGE, a village full of one story buildings. To the left (WALL 4) there is a mixture of trees, barricades, and buildings before hitting a downward slope.
EMR CASTLE FRONTLINES SAFETY RULES – READ THEM CAREFULLY!
We Take Safety Very Seriously at EMR. For each rule violation you will receive a hole-punch on your ID Tag. If you get three hole punches you are deemed unsafe to play and you will be done playing for the Event. No exceptions or refunds!
These Rules are for Everyone’s Safety. Please Read Thoroughly and Always Listen To Your Referees.
NO DEAD MAN’S WALKS OR BARREL TAGS ALLOWED IN THIS GAME!
1) Always Wear Your Goggles: This is the most important safety rule. You must have your goggles on at all times while on
the Playing Field or Shooting/Chrono Range. You may only Remove or Lift Your Goggles on the Playing Field if an EMR
Safety Trained Ref informs you it is safe to do so! DO NOT LIFT or TAKE YOUR GOGGLES OFF Even If Your Goggles
Fog Up or Get Covered in Paint or Dirt. If you have a problem with your goggles, call over a Ref. If you Lift Your Goggles
from Covering your Eyes Anytime while on the Playing Field or Shooting/Chrono Range, you will receive two Hole
Punches and your one and only warning.
2. Barrel Covers Required: Must be Tethered to Your Marker and Cover the End of Your Marker at all times except when
you are on the Shooting Range or on the Playing Field with your Goggles On. No Gloves, Socks, Barrel Plugs, or Swabs!
3. Wristband: Wristbands are issued when you have paid for your entry and turned in a completely filled out and signed
EMR Waiver. If you are caught without a wristband, you will be escorted to the Rec. Center where you will have to Pay for
Entry or you will be asked to leave.
4. EMR Event Field Paint Only: No off field Paintballs are allowed. Only Event Paintballs purchased at EMR This Year are
allowed to be used to play. If you are caught using Paintballs that were not purchased from EMR Events this year, you will
be pulled from the game, made to pour out all non-event/field paint and required to purchase a case of Field Paint. Or you
may leave the event and premises. This is the same as stealing in a court of law. No exceptions!
5. Chrono Speed: 280 fps: You must Chrono your marker with a referee before playing. All Markers Must be Chronoed
under 280 Feet Per Second by a Ref and you will Receive a Chrono Punch on your ID Tag. You will also be Chronoed
throughout the event to check your speed to insure all player’s safety.
6. Semi-Auto Mode Only: No Full Auto, Turbos, Ramps, or Multi-round bursts allowed. One shot per trigger pull only.
No First Strike Rounds Allowed in this Event!
7: Surrender Rule: Because of the intense close up fighting involved in this event, we do not have a surrender rule,
however We Expect Good Sportsmanship from each and every player. If you come up behind a player facing away from
you and are within 10 feet and will not give away your position, Be a Good Sport and give them a chance by yelling
Surrender or You Are Out! If they hesitate or start to turn, then feel free to shoot them but please do it sparingly.
8. Close Quarter Trade Outs: There is No Who Shot Who First Arguments! Both players will be called out in good
sportsmanship unless it was blatantly obvious that the first player was shot out well before shooting out the second player.
If so, the player that was shot first will be eliminated and the Ref will wipe off the other player who will still be in.
9. Overshooting: Do not shoot someone more than three times. If you do shoot someone more than three times and they
all break, you also will be called out.
10. Blind Firing: You must always be looking at who or what you are shooting at. For example: Do not stick your gun around
the corner of a building or in a window and start firing without first looking at what you are firing at.
10. Shooting Through Cracks of Walls Point Blank: This is not allowed. All shooting ports in the Castle or Buildings
should be at least a 4” by 4” opening. You cannot stick your barrel up to a crack wide enough for a paintball to pass
through and shoot through it. You are eliminated if someone is good or lucky enough to shoot you through a crack from a
distance of at least 5 feet away from the wall. Splatter does not count as an elimination, it must be a complete paintball.
11. Elimination: You are Eliminated when you are hit by a paintball and it breaks on you or your Equipment such as your
marker, mask, pods, pack, etc. Be sure to check and see if the paintball broke. Sometimes they do bounce without
breaking. If you cannot see where it hit, ask someone close to you to check it or else yell for a ref to check it for you. If you
do yell hit or out, you are out whether it broke or not, so be sure to check first. If a paintball breaks on something in front of
you and just splatters on you, you are not out. It must hit you or your equipment and break on you or your equipment.
12. What To Do When Eliminated: When you are eliminated you should yell either Hit or Out loudly a couple of times.
Immediately after yelling Hit or Out, put your Barrel Cover on and then yell Hit or Out loudly a few more times if you are
still under fire. Then put your marker in the air and wait a few seconds before you show yourself. This gives your
opponents time to see that you are out. Once you have established that you are out, get up and walk off of the playing
field. KEEP YOUR GOGGLES ON the ENTIRE TIME! If you can not see clearly, ask for a ref to assist you. Do Not Shoot
People with their barrel covers on or that have called themselves out.
13. Eliminated Players: Eliminated Players do not talk. You cannot help your team or tell them where opposing players are
after you have been eliminated so keep your mouth closed and leave the field.
12. On field Assistance: If you need a paint check or have a gun problem or anything that requires a ref, call out REF. He or
she will come to you. If you get up and walk to them they will help you but you will be considered out.
13. Bunkers & Climbing: There is no moving of any field objects/bunkers during the game. This includes 55 Gallon Barrels,
Spools, A-Frames, Pallets, or any other barricades. Absolutely no climbing of trees, walls, or up onto the top of barricades.
This is not permitted. You may only leave the ground by using EMR made stairs with handrails.
15. No Cheating: You will be back in the game very quickly with constant insertion. If caught intentionally wiping, you will be
thrown out of the game and will be Done Playing for the day.
16. Swearing & Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Everyone Gets heated At Times! Please Watch What you say. Extend
everyone the courtesy of not using swearwords or directing negative comments or swear at another player or EMR
referee/staff member. Good Sportsmanship is Key!
17. Arguing/ Physical Contact: This will not be tolerated. Do not argue with other players or the refs or in any way try to
instigate a fight.
IF YOU PHYSICALLY ATTACK SOMEONE, YOU WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE FIELD IMMEDIATELY AND THE AUTHORITIES CONTACTED!
